marianne – I agree completely. We donate everything that is usable, however, these were broken. Their life had run its course, so landfill or recycling was the only option.

Don’t know if you’ll see this, but… Giving items to the Goodwill and such places are great green options, too. Not everything has to to choose between the landfill and the recycling plant.

Hi Doreen,

I just read about your blog on “Jiiimmmm’s” blog and had to come over to check it out. Love it! I try my best to keep it “green” around our home as well, but my DH is alot like yours. I went as far as to buy the “green” toilet paper and paper towels…ummm…let’s just say that the family didn’t take kindly to that move! I’ll be back to read and learn more!
