Hi, I’m Dana’s sister- she told me about your blog. Very cool. My motto has always been to ‘Buy local and buy what’s in season”.
I’ve recently parked my life in Hood River, Oregon. One of my favorite places by far that I’ve lived, next to Utah. Most people out here are all about an outdoor healthy lifestyle. and if you aren’t that way before moving here- you’ll be converted. It’s all good though. I started becoming ‘green’ not just for environmental purposes but also finding out what these chemicals and artificial ingredients do to your body. No thank you.
Welcome to blogging! I look forward to your posts about going green. Your husband Jim mentioned your blog on Twitter today, so I came to check it out and bookmark it.
Donna & Dana! Welcome! I’m glad you found the site! Please visit often and share your thoughts anytime!
Carol! Thank you for the welcome and thanks for bookmarking me too! This should be a great adventure!
This is such a great start…being married to a Green Mum, and having another Green Mum as a client means this really resonates with me! Thanks to Jim for poinitng this out on Twitter – not that he knows anything about blogging? all the best with the blog..
MGG, I LOVE the look of it, the graphics are awesome and it makes me want to run out and buy a bunch of organic vegetables…but I’m not sure why! You are quite the web designer, I’m sure it helps to be married to Jimmy K. I can’t wait to read your posts. XO
Doreen: This is a great idea. I just wish you could print your comments in that great Doreen handwriting font you are famous for.
Question for you: We are interested in joining a cooperative farm, where you buy a share of the output and get a basket of locally produced vegetables, etc. every week. Do you know of any?
Hope all is well. You have a beautiful family.
Good luck, Doreen. Good for you for launching this. I’m a friend of Jim’s, and I figure if you can put up with being married to him, anything else has to be a downhill ride. Anyway, I’ll be reading.
Nice one John. I’m a dream to be married to! But I’m a bad “greenie”. I’m sure she’s got tons of blogs up her sleeve about how dumb I am to recycling and how frustrated I get at having to use “7th generation” stuff, etc… But it will make for good blogging I think.
Luke – Thanks for the encouragement and I compliment your choice of a wonderful Green Wife!
Will – Glad you love it! I take that as a real compliment…now go buy those veggies!
Drew – That is a great question. You’re talking about CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture). I located the CSAs in your area and will send you the link, but anyone can do a search for their own area at: http://www.localharvest.org
John – It’s great that others give Jim a hard time besides me! Thanks for checking me out and visit often!
Jim…Husband — you will DEFINITELY be a subject of many coming posts!
