I have lived in socialist countries before and while the story line sounds great, the reality is horrible. Everyone pays super high taxes and the care the government supplies is second rate at best. Raising taxes on people that make more than 250,000??? My boss makes more than that. He is a small business owner and employees 15 people. Guess what? His taxes go up and some of us will lose our jobs. That isn't good. Whether you like to admit it or not, wealthy people create jobs. Middle class people cannot afford to pay others and start businesses. So how is taxing those over 250k going to help? I can see maybe raising that bar to 2 million or so but not 250K. I agree we have some serious issues but re-distribution of wealth and increased taxes on those who create jobs can only be destructive at best. We all have our opinion and that is what makes our country great. I respect yours. I do not agree and I suppose my vote will cancel your vote. But I do hope that if Obama becomes president he will figure out a way to pay for all his social programs and it not affect me. If I lose my job because of his tax increases I will definitely become very very vocal about it. We shall wait and see what happens... only 27 minutes till the first polls close.
