Grace – Older generations are sometimes really confusing…they either have extreme respect or they don’t recognize the gravity of their mistaken ways! You just never know. Age cannot be a predictor of maturity or consciousness!

People littering is one of my biggest pet peeves! I cannot stand it, and there doesn’t seem to be a lack of examples of it. The latest was more disappointing than most, because it was a senior citizen of, my guess, 60 years of age. I would expect someone of his maturity (assumed anyway), to know better. Just goes to show, sometimes age is just a number.

Robert – wow…that’s just pitiful and lazy, isn’t it?! It’s incomprehensible…but I applaud you for doing the right thing. I tend to pick up others’ trash too…as gross as it is, it’s better than walking by!

Joel – you should have chased her down!!! When I’m on the beach, litter makes me COMPLETELY insane! I want sand and surf between my toes, not cig butts and food wrappers!

M – AUGH!!! That is AWFUL! It’s bad enough that he “passed” on the recycling, but to throw it on the ground instead of, at least, a trash can, is just shameful! I would have enjoyed tossing that same bottle at the back of his empty head!!!

We were at the “AST Dew Tour” yesterday at north coast harbor. (The tour is skateboarding, BMX & Motocross) Kudos to them for having bottle and can recycle bins EVERYWHERE! : ) Anyway, we were leaving the bleachers after watching the motocross and the guy in front of me had the biggest plastic water bottle I had ever seen – it only had maybe 2 sips of water left. As we were nearing the stairs an usher says to him “here’s a recyling bin, can I take that for you?” He replies no, then walks down the stairs takes his last swig and throws the bottle on the ground and continues walking! WHAT!?!
